The only glue I would recommend is Gemtac from the USA. It does not string and is flexible, dries clear and is washable after 24 hours. Gemtac is not dry-cleanable, but then not many glues are and is user friendly!

It’s very easy to blame the glue when stones fall off but most of the time the fault lies with the person decorating and not the glue. The secret is to apply just enough glue to completely capture the edges of the stone, without having it ooze out all over the fabric. Another common cause of gluing failure is when too many spots of glue have been put on the fabric at one time and their surfaces have started to dry off before the stone is put in place.

You will be spending many hours decorating and the finished result is the most important so please use the glue recommended for gemstones, rhinestones, diamantes – GEMTAC!
